Paul graduated with a BSSc (Hons) degree in business administration from the Queen’s University Belfast.
During his subsequent career, he spent 12 years working for Whale Pumps (Munster Simms Engineering Ltd) who design and manufacture high quality low voltage pump, plumbing and heating systems for use in remote locations. As part of this role he led the new product development team and also delivered major products to original equipment manufacturers.
In more recent times, Paul has operated his own business as an international trade and export sales consultant. This includes being a mentor to various engineering companies whilst working with organisations such as Invest Northern Ireland, Enterprise Ireland and InterTradeIreland.
Paul is a keen runner and has completed a number of marathons and is a loyal follower of Leeds United. He also enjoys spending time with his young family.
