Due to continued growth in our business, we are very pleased to welcome two new members to the Ian Farley team!
Josh Cameron
Josh (above left) has joined our Engineering & Manufacturing Team as a Technical Consultant. He is a graduate of Queen’s University Belfast where he achieved a BEng honours degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Josh also holds a BTEC Level 3 qualification in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering from the North West Regional College.
Josh is passionate about engineering and has gained plenty of practical experience over the years. While a student he worked part-time as an agricultural machinery mechanic, and had a work-placement with a manufacturing engineering firm. He has also worked as a diesel mechanic/technician and as a laboratory controller in a catalytic converter testing company.
It’s not all work with no play for Josh though, as he has lots of other interests. These include travelling, flying/gliding, motorcycling, sailing, mountain climbing and keeping fit. He is also a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and a full Ironman finisher.
William Wallace
Our other new staff member is William (above right) who has joined the Science & Software Team as a Technical Consultant. William has a first-class honours degree in Computer Science from Queen’s and a foundation degree in Computing from the Northern Regional College.
William has always enjoyed computers and programming, and has put this to good use during his work experience. He had a placement role as a systems engineer in a leading aerospace company, and also as a software developer in a medical diagnostics firm. In his spare time he creates modifications for video games and works on embedded hardware projects.
When it comes to sport, William’s main passion is archery – where his determination and focus give him an edge. He also volunteers to help others, and is particularly proud of his work on a mentoring programme and on a buddying scheme. He loves reading as well.
