I graduated in 2020 with an Honours degree in Biomedical engineering from the University of Ulster Jordanstown, where my final year project focused on the synthesis of gold nanoparticles for photoacoustic therapy.
Since then, I have gained experience as a manufacturing engineer in Galway with Medtronic, which involved maintenance and improvement of heart stent manufacturing equipment. I have also worked as a Covid Scientist in Randox across the pandemic and eventually transferred into the R&D department to work as a Biomedical Engineer, where I tested and developed the Randox Discovery machines. I have also gained experience as an Electical Engineer, helping to install UPS systems across Ireland.
During my time at school and university I was also able to gain experience in sales and running my small family-owned business.
In my spare time you will most likely find me in the gym, hiking, cliff jumping or teaching myself to play guitar.
